Combining world-class biology with cutting-edge computational approaches, the company is building a platform designed to accelerate the discovery of transformative medicines for patients with significant unmet medical need.
As Vice President of Drug Discovery Biology, you will provide scientific and strategic leadership across the biology function, driving target validation, translational biology, and preclinical research while working closely with chemistry, computational biology, and AI teams to advance a growing pipeline of novel therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Drug Discovery Biology organization, building a high-performing scientific team.
Define and execute biology strategy across multiple small molecule discovery programs.
Drive target identification, validation, mechanism of action studies and translational biology.
Partner closely with Medicinal Chemistry, Computational Biology, AI/ML and Platform teams to accelerate decision-making and program progression.
Contribute to portfolio strategy, pipeline prioritization and executive-level scientific decision making.
Build external collaborations with academic institutions, CROs and key opinion leaders.
Present scientific strategy and program updates to executive leadership, investors and the Board.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in speaking with experienced scientific leaders who bring:
Extensive leadership experience in small molecule drug discovery.
Deep expertise in oncology, inflammation and/or immunology.
A proven track record of advancing discovery programs from target identification through preclinical development.
Experience working within multidisciplinary discovery environments alongside medicinal chemistry and translational sciences.
Exposure to AI-enabled and computational biology-driven drug discovery, with an appreciation for how modern computational approaches can enhance target discovery and program execution.
Previous leadership experience within biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical organizations, with a demonstrated ability to build and mentor exceptional scientific teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across scientific and executive leadership.
Location
This position is open to candidates based on the US West Coast, with flexibility for remote or hybrid working depending on location.

Base Salary: USD $320,000–350,000
